Artist Statement

Judith's Artwork is about mystery in life's dance.

     
   Across your skin, 
         a gentle breeze brushes,

        A spray of light
                        scattering            
                              the darkness 

        In a moment...
        a poem held in hand..... speaks
        			
        through the visual metaphor,
        			the painting,
        			the drawing,
      					
			   the form giving expression.

Just as a thimble would serve as a meager container for the ocean, ... words inadequately circumscribe the visual metaphor in Judith's work.

The work itself is a metaphor to behold an illusive place.

Judith Reidy's Bio

Judith C. Reidy graduated from the UWM School of Fine Arts, with a major in painting and drawing, BFA. She studied with such artists as Lawrence Rathsack, Adolph Rosenblatt, Tom Uttech, Joan Franzen, Laura Priebe, Helena Ehlke, Joe Stanke, Paulette Jensen, Daryll Jenson, and Ed Knippers, Stephan Samerjan
