Dog Park presents an open sweep of grass edged by mature trees, with a path curving along one side. The original subject is the Lake Park dog park near the end of Belleview on Lake Drive, observed during a moment when the landscape has the stage to itself.
Warm yellow-green ground contrasts with cooler shadows beneath the trees. Slender trunks divide the open space, and loose acrylic brushwork suggests the changing textures of leaves, grass, and distant growth.
The result is an inviting pause in a familiar public place. It can recall a favorite daily walk or the simple pleasure of a patch of sunlight beneath a leafy canopy.
