Fruit with Cup and Saucer in the Sun takes a close look at everyday tableware and fruit. A red apple occupies the foreground, balanced by a golden citrus fruit and the pale curves of the cup and saucer.
Pink, lavender, and green passages move through the tabletop and shadows. The loose oil brushwork keeps the shapes immediate, with bright accents suggesting the touch of sunlight on rounded surfaces.
This intimate still life offers the pleasure of noticing ordinary things anew. Its modest scale and lively palette suit a small wall grouping or a corner where the warmth of a sunlit table can be enjoyed every day.
Medium: Oil.
Unframed size: 6.5 ? 5.25 inches.
