A climbing vine reaches across the front of an older building in Happy Fence. Bright blossoms gather among deep green leaves, while a white fence offers a crisp accent below the warm-colored facade.
Windows, a small balcony, and the vine’s irregular lines give the eye a succession of details to discover. The interplay between ordered architecture and freely growing flowers keeps the composition lively.
The subject recalls the quaint storefronts and familiar places that can stay with us from childhood. Painted in oil, it brings that sense of affection into a cheerful view of flowers making a building their own.
Medium: Oil.
