Swing So High brings the viewer close to a child in motion on a swing. A sunlit hat, bright clothing, and extended legs give the figure a lively presence beneath the surrounding trees.
The swing’s supports create strong vertical lines against the softer woodland setting. Warm light on the figure and ground contrasts with the cooler shade, emphasizing the instant of movement.
Painted in oil, the work celebrates an everyday childhood pleasure. It may recall a family outing, a favorite playground, or the simple feeling of letting the swing carry you a little higher.
Medium: Oil.
