Bottle Missing from Glass places a glowing stemmed glass above a tray filled with green and purple grapes. The glass catches warm amber tones, while the pale edge of the tray draws the eye around the fruit. A darker tabletop and subdued background give the bright reflections and rounded grapes room to stand out.

Judith Reidy balances the upright stem and bowl of the glass with the broad, angled shape of the tray. Small touches of light separate individual grapes from the deeper greens and violets around them. The loosely painted setting gives the objects a sense of presence without making every surface equally sharp.

This oil still life invites attention to the simple conversation between transparent glass, reflective metal, and fresh fruit. The title adds a playful note to an otherwise quiet arrangement. Warm colors and concentrated light suggest an intimate pause at the table, with enough texture and variation to keep the eye exploring.
