Church at the End of Webster captures a Cedarburg view toward the church on Washington Avenue. Violet tones shape the church’s facade and square tower, while leafy green trees partly screen the building. A warm peach-pink sky sets off the architecture, and a pale cross provides a small, distinct focal point among the surrounding colors.

Judith Reidy’s acrylic plein air painting brings together the firm geometry of the church and the irregular growth of the trees. Bright yellow-green touches animate the foliage, while deeper greens frame the lower part of the scene. The tower rises above the leaves, giving the composition a clear vertical accent against the softly painted sky.

This neighborhood view preserves the feeling of looking toward a familiar landmark through summer growth. Expressive color makes the setting memorable while the partially hidden building encourages a lingering look. This original painting has been sold and remains part of Judith Reidy’s collection of local plein air scenes.
