Long Morning Shadows

There is something fresh and clean about seeing the sunny morning casting light between the long shadows of the pines. The white glistens in the sunlight, reflecting lights bouncing all around.  The air is  clear and cold  but fresh like new snow.  I love cross country skying through the snow on days like this.  There is a particular sound that whispers as I glide over the snow.  On the whole the scene si quite except for that whispering glide.  This is an oil painting on a 9”w x 12h” gessoed panel.
